WEBBED GIRL SCOUT BELT
About 1948 the official uniform Girl Scout belt was changed to this lighter weight buckle.  It still has the familiar Trefoil embossed, but the fancy embossing and "Be Prepared" was replaced with this much simpler design.  The webbing was reduced to ONE inch wide, and the buckle is "gunmetal finish," according to the Girl Scout catalog. The length of the belt is 28" including the buckle.
This belt was used from approximately 1948 through 1960, but the more popular belt in the 1950s was the elastic one that I have on another listing.  Consequently, this belt is very hard to find.  These are in Very Good, NOT Excellent Used Condition due to a tiny amount of rust that barely shows on the buckle.  Please excuse my watermarks.  Other sellers have been infringing on my pictures and my wordage.
